Remember that collective ā90s fever dream mixed with iconic memes and celebrity gossip? Yeah, that was our epicĀ Pop Culture Quiz NightĀ in early October: an evening of fierce, fun-filled competition, testing a record number of NIXs on everything from Friendsā couch to epic dance fails.
The vibe was pure disco! MTV greatest hits blasted while flashy, colourful spotlights danced on the walls and faces. The grand hall sizzled from all that collective brainpower, only broken by the crackling sound of hundreds of chip bags filling the air āØ
It was downright electric: the event hit anĀ all-time highĀ for Quiz Night attendance. The room was buzzing with competitive energy. Whether teams softly murmured the answers between themselves to the āMovies & TVā category (which ran from the 1990s to today) or frantically debated the correct sequence for āGames & Geek Cultureā questions, everyone was fully engaged.Ā
Rounds included deep dives into āInternet & Memesā and tested pop culture knowledge across āMusic & Celebrities.ā The intensity peaked during the questions that required rapid chronological ordering and detailed recollection of obscure facts š¤
And yes, we battled for awesome prizes, including retro gaming consoles, IMAX 3D cinema tickets and even an Escape Room voucher. When the final results flashed on screen, the room exploded with cheering and high-fives.
