Junior Automation QA Engineer
NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Junior Automation QA Engineer in its office in Budapest (Vaci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Automated Test Script Development: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using various testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the QA and development teams to understand project requirements and define an automation testing strategy
- Test Execution and Maintenance: Execute automated test suites regularly as part of the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process
- Monitor test results, analyze failures, and report defects to the development team
- Maintain and update automated test scripts to keep them in sync with the application changes
- Integration and Regression Testing: Incorporate automated tests into the continuous integration process to ensure that new changes do not introduce regression issues
- Defect Reporting and Tracking: Document and track defects found during testing using bug tracking tools
- Test Data Management: Manage and create test data necessary for automated test execution. This may involve setting up and maintaining test data repositories or databases
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JS or C#
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology and software development principles
- Basic understanding of automated testing concepts and tools
- Experience in developing end-to-end UI and API tests
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in working with bug-tracking systems and version control systems
- English skills at the upper-intermediate or higher level
WILL BE A PLUS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of testing frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver or Appium
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN
