NIX, a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is looking for a Junior Automation QA Engineer in its office in Budapest (Vaci Greens, 13th district). You’ll be part of a team of professionals who are ready to find the best tailor-made IT solutions for their multinational clients in various industries and solve complex problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Automated Test Script Development: Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using various testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with the QA and development teams to understand project requirements and define an automation testing strategy
  • Test Execution and Maintenance: Execute automated test suites regularly as part of the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process
  • Monitor test results, analyze failures, and report defects to the development team
  • Maintain and update automated test scripts to keep them in sync with the application changes
  • Integration and Regression Testing: Incorporate automated tests into the continuous integration process to ensure that new changes do not introduce regression issues
  • Defect Reporting and Tracking: Document and track defects found during testing using bug tracking tools
  • Test Data Management: Manage and create test data necessary for automated test execution. This may involve setting up and maintaining test data repositories or databases

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JS or C#
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology and software development principles
  • Basic understanding of automated testing concepts and tools
  • Experience in developing end-to-end UI and API tests
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in working with bug-tracking systems and version control systems
  • English skills at the upper-intermediate or higher level

WILL BE A PLUS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver or Appium
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN
