DUAL TRAINING PROGRAM

For us, dual training program is happening not just ‘on paper’ – this is an essential part of NIX, where we strive to educate young talent and give an opportunity to see the IT world from the inside. Our goal is for students to gain marketable, up-to-date practical knowledge and experience how the profession works in day-to-day life while still in training. Throughout the program, mentors support their development, and tasks are structured to build gradually from entry-level to more complex projects.

Answering important questions

  • How can I participate in the program?

    You can enter the program as you step into the 13th grade and inform your school about your interest in the program. NIX reaches out to all partner schools in advance in order to start the selection process for the Dual Training Program. This means that every student will have the chance to go through the testing and interview stages after which they can become part of the program.

  • How do I know I am accepted to the program?

    Our team reaches out to all the selected students and informs them about the final decision during summer, before the new studying year begins. After being selected, the students are asked to sign their NIX employee contracts before September – this way they can make sure that an exciting and fixed plan for the next year awaits them.

  • Do you prepare the students for the exams?

    We fully prepare our students for the final exams and support them with the project which they have to present to the examination committee. We are working closely with the schools to make sure the students reach a high level of technical knowledge by the end of the Dual Program.

    Our program is also great for entering NIX as an employee after successful graduation.

  • What is the structure of the learning process?

    The students study at the office from Monday until Thursday. Usually there are 15-20 students from different schools in the classroom. The technical experts hold theoretical and practical classes, after each session the students get homework. Students also write tests based on the studied material, get grades and feedback from mentors. During the whole year everyone works on their final project, too.

  • What English level is required?

    In order to understand the material and be able to express themselves during the lessons, we expect the students to know English on at least B1 level.

  • How can I become an employee?

    Dual Training Program is a great way to enter the workforce immediately after graduating. At NIX we make sure that great talents are recognised and shown the way into the IT industry – we prepare the students by giving them autonomy, opportunities to solve problems, and space to share ideas. After graduation, students have the possibility to take part in interviews with NIX Team and become full-time employees.
