Menu for 4 days — the PR Crew’s Italian Trip 🍕
Are you craving some sun, sand, and sea? 🌊
To celebrate (and to relax) after organizing a successful NIX Birthday Party, our multitalented PR team packed the bags and left all worries behind for a few days, so we could return with fresh ideas and energy for future projects.
Follow the PR department on our Italian team building, which was as sensational as a 4-course meal at an Italian ristorante 🤌
Antipasti – Appetizers 🍝
Ingredients: excitement, the first team dinner, and a sunset on the beach
Our journey started on Friday when we flew to Rimini, a small city on the Adriatic coast. We were full of anticipation, starved for adventures and joy.
“I was looking forward to getting to know my colleagues outside the office. I was curious about their other side — who they really are when we are in a different environment, relaxing, and having fun” – says Anett Kolmonth, Brand Communication Manager.
After arriving at our accommodation, we had our very first Italian meal of pasta, seafood, and Aperol Spritz 🍸
Then, we explored the beach at sunset. Some of us used this opportunity to collect shiny shells, while others spent time capturing the perfect moment 🌅
After mixing each of the ingredients of the first day together, we got the perfect balance of thrill and calm, and we were hungry for more!
Primi Piatti – First Courses 🦐
Ingredients: captivating sights, electric bicycles, and vibrant nightlife
“This team building felt more like a vacation with friends than a company program.
I loved that we could choose our own activities and tag along with others who shared the same interests as us. In a way, it was much more liberating, we had no strict schedule, no stress that we might oversleep or miss something” – says Anett.
Szabolcs Trapacs, Event Manager, decided to experience the city in a unique way:
“It was very exciting to rent an electric bicycle and roam around Rimini with my esteemed colleague, Vitalii Kulikov. This way, we got to see not just the popular spots in town, but the regular districts as well, which is always kind of interesting.”
After spending most of the day sightseeing, the crew was determined to try every single flavor of creamy gelato and colorful cocktail 🍦
“The nightlife was vibrant, with many options for food and drinks. We tried a lot of bars, but then we ended up just sitting at the beach, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. It was calm, relaxing, and I felt truly connected to the others” – says Anett.
And this was true for our whole 4-course meal — our connection made it so special.
Secondi piatti – Second courses 🥘
Ingredients: a relaxing beach day, an unexpected friend, and a pinch of inspiring art
After the dynamic first course, we had a taste for a day of relaxation.
“On the third day, we went to the beach. And while the boys were swimming, I pulled up my jeans and stood in the water, enjoying the waves and letting my brain switch off and relax.
Later we made friends with an elderly restaurant owner, and we tried his mum’s original bolognese pasta. It was such an authentic experience that it suddenly struck me: I’m really in Italy” – says Anett.
While most of the team enjoyed the sea, Olena Bondarchuk, Designer, and a few friends chose to visit the museum about the legendary filmmaker Federico Fellini.
“As a designer, I love art, and I gained a lot of new inspiration from the installations and movie clips. It wasn’t like any other museum I’ve ever visited. A very atmospheric place” – says Olena.
We topped this course with a team dinner and seasoned it with some fun team activities on the beach. The organizer of the program shared some juicy fun facts about each team member, and we all had to guess the person 🤔
Among other things, we learned who baked professionally, who spoke the most languages, and who recorded songs in a studio. Most facts came as a surprise even to those who have known each other for years!
Dolci – Desserts 🍨
Ingredients: a mini-state with a big castle, and a perfectly cooked team
The cherry on top of this sweet trip was visiting San Marino, an independent state one hour from Rimini.
The center of the mini-state is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we were all amazed by its rich history and culture.
We climbed to the top of the castle, got lost in the labyrinth of narrow streets, and enjoyed the panoramic view, as well as the delicious local specialties.
“My favorite moments were the ones we all shared. When we were sitting together on the beach, talking about life without any filters, just saying what we really think. The meals together, the inside jokes, the sights we visited” – says Anett.
“I felt totally relaxed during the trip, and I really enjoyed tasting the local cuisine. The restaurants were very nice, and the local specialty, the piadina (a type of bread) was awesome” – says Szabolcs.
“This trip filled me with new emotions, and I learned a lot about my colleagues. Next time I wouldn’t mind going on an even longer team-building that lasts for a week” – says Olena.
These shared experiences bonded us and filled us with energy and creativity. We cannot wait to use these new ideas to organize more amazing programs for our NIX Team ❤️
