On April 16th, NIX hosted its Sci-Fi Quiz Night โ an event dedicated to fictional universes, team competition, and simply having a great time together.
120 participants gathered at Lรกng Mลฑvelลdรฉsi Kรถzpont, forming 28 teams ready to put their knowledge to the test. Some arrived alone, some as full teams, others came as a group of friends for support
The atmosphere was electric! Teams settled in, strategies were discussed, and hosts, Daniel and Zoltan, took the stage to kick things off ๐
โIt started with some technical difficulties, but which event has ever gone smoothly?
I’ve had two years to watch the masters of hosting handle any challenge, but I cannot say I was fully prepared. Controlling the slides added an extra layer of difficulty. All the same, hosting was a unique experience โ I even tried to steal the spotlight here and there.
The beginning was the hardest, participants were just stuck on the first round. But eventually, everyone found their rhythm, and there was no stopping them. The best part? Watching the room erupt the moment a divisive answer was finally revealed. It was a blast!โ

Four rounds took participants across dozens of fictional universes โ from the dystopian arenas of Hunger Games to the chaotic dimensions of Rick and Morty. Also, the post-apocalyptic worlds of The Last of Us and Fallout, and the vast empires of Marvel and Star Wars ๐ฌ
โFor my team and me, the quiz is about getting together and unwinding. The theme sets the mood, but what truly makes the night is the people sitting at your table. Usually, these events flow at a steady pace, but this time we were actually in the running for a prize. The emotional rollercoaster of jumping into the top tier, falling back, and climbing up again was intense! Our strategy was simple: have a great time. And that’s exactly what we did.”

โFor most of the game we were sitting in 2nd or 3rd. We knew the feeling well, as we’d been there before in other quizzes. This time, we came prepared. When the others lost focus, we made our move. A strategic ‘HAROOSH!’ at the right moment, and first place was ours.โ
